What utter nonsense! Amazon do not set those charges, the sellers do. It may be within a framework set by Amazon but it's the sellers who choose... and you're right, it was my bad for not checking Amazon Seller's rip off delivery charges (aka bad old days of eBay) before I purchased, relying instead as I did on Amazon's good name. That isn't a mistake I have ever repeated and I have abandoned several purchases since and went elsewhere when I saw the level of charges being applied.

One seller on one of those abandoned purchases, when I emailed them to complain about the rates they were charging, even told me that they made their markup on delivery as it was the only way to offer the item at the low price they did!

Amazon set the charges. Don't blame the marketplace sellers. There are a minority of large pro-sellers, who can set custom delivery charges. For the vast majority of small, marketplace sellers, trying to make a buck and provide a good service, it is Amazon who set the charges.
These are mis-spelt, uniformed rants. In any case you can't say that you are being ripped off because you can't be bothered to read the delivery charges, which are very clearly shown, beside the price of the product.
You may not like the delivery charges but it is your choice. It would be a rip-off if they were hidden away but they are very up front.

God no! I'm not watching that keich ever again (even though I bought the dvd).

Dunno what part of Scotland you hail from but Kevin Durand's accent Sucked, with a capital 'S.' Maybe you're surrounded by so many incomers that you've forgotten what a Scottish accent is supposed to sound like? :)

As for Will Scarlet - puhleeze! He was taking tips from Durand and his accent was just as bad.

If I want 'historically accurate' I'll watch the History channel.

Robin Hood was complete and utter pish.

I think u need to watch the movie again!!!
First I am a Scot and I think Kevin Durand did a pretty good job on the accent. Much better than your hero Mike who just takes the piss, if thats how u think other Scots talk then u must need your hearing checked!
Second the guy who plays Will Scarlet is actually portraying a welsh accent. And you thought it was either english or scottish?? again starting to question ur hearing capability. The story was more historically accurate than any previous robin hood film and had some of the best actors that have graced the screen. I agree cate blanchet was not the best choice but we dont live in an ideal world. That said it was still an enjoyable film with a rustic flavour and there are worse robin hood films!

Amazon.co.uk are disgusting. I purchased a book through them and tried to send it back and nothing worked on the site and I kept going back to the begnning all the time. You are easily sucked into their Membership rubbish which is a brilliant way for them to take your money without your consent and then they have the audacity to treat you like shit when they have done so. Also Vistaprint are doing the same scam. You purchase business cards with them then they take monthly payments from your account. When you contact they are polite and give you a refund. I am not happy with Amazon.co.uk I did not sign up for Premier Membership. I asked for a refund and was given a partial refund.
I spoke to an Irishman at Amazon today who offered no apology they think it is their right to take £47+ from your account. I am not interested in any form of membership all I want are the goods that I ordered. If they are free of charge or postage paid that is all I am interested in. Amazon have got their legal team to cook up a way of scamming the public to take our money on a contual basis. Consumers must watch out for these thieves. They are very much above their station. They offer cut price goods then try to rip you off with their RUBBISH MEMBERSHIP PACKAGE. I do not remember accepting their Terms and Conditions. If they operated a website that was reliable that would make a big different. Its the thumbs down for Amazon.co.uk from me. I will never ever purchase another item from them again. THEY ARE SCUM ripp of merchants. Beware of these scumbag companies who offer cheap goods and then create a Membership Rip of Scheme to help themselves to your money. Spread the word folks Amazon.co.uk are thieves and treat the consumer like dirt.
